Case studies

The platform and methodology will be complemented by a series of industrial case studies that demonstrate the benefits of its application across various industries. In four reuse and remanufacturing case studies, OEMs used the ResCoM software platform and framework to implement closed-loop product systems in their industries. Lessons learned from the pilots helped to develop generic guidelines for adapting the ResCoM framework to individual companies and facilitate market uptake.

Bugaboo developed a flexible leasing plan of their innovative pushchairs and strollers and combines it with value creation through reuse and remanufacturing.

Gorenje

Gorenje explored alternative business models for their washing machines including leasing plans and selling wash cycles instead of products.  Additionally, the company developed a parallel business of product returns for remanufacturing.
